  1. Ive used braid and i must say i did not like it one bit there is a lot off friction and i could cast less than half the legth that i normaly cast i have also talked to a lot of other people that has also said that they did not like braid because of the friction and that it gets super tangled really easily so personaly i would never Get braid again

  2. Great start on this channel, keep ‘em coming. One thing to ask on line, when are you tying on leaders? On my spinning setups I always run braid (better casting) but because I’m typically running more finesse tactics I always have a flouro leader….on top water/frogs or jigs, or cranks…if you are using braid, are there any applications you run a leader on?!? Thanks!

  3. Ok squad, need your thoughts. Got a 6.1:1 baitcaster on a 7ft medium heavy fast action rod, gonna be trying to learn bass tactics this year, been awhile since I’ve done any fishing. What line or line combos would you recommend for a basic all-round setup? I’m in south-central Ohio but will hopefully be traveling around with my paddling club to various places. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Googans!

  4. I love this channel I’m by no means a pro but I do get out alot and try new spots here and there and this channel with all its parts and members have taught me so much already and I’m always ready to learn more thank you guys so much

  5. Hey man I needed that info awesome job. One question. When would you want to use a mono or flora leader on braid? If there is an occasion

  6. When he mentioned braid lasting a long he is %100 right cause the rod i was gifted before covid with braid has lasted until now being left out in sun and rain still has not snapped on alot of pressure

  7. This will help me when I’m helping set up my grandson’s poles for the upcoming season. Just waiting for the ice to finish melting. Can’t wait

  8. *Have used the braided line for several years **enjoyable.fishing** recommend both for salmon in the summer as well as walleye through the ice. Can’t beat it for the price!*

  9. Tip for fluorocarbon get some kvd line conditioner and spray it one the spool while spooling every 100ft then once again when done takes the memory right out it

  10. I have a reel that has braided line on since 2011 and it hasn’t broken yet. Since then I’ve caught snakeheads, bass, catfish, carp

  11. Have a wonderful to the music. I go to a music chat. Why does so many people put on freaking stupid music where they’re trying to provide information? Just stupid

  12. I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn’t realize that the front of the net doesn’t actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I’m in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn’t get stuck in the bushes.

  13. All I use is power pro spectra. If I’m fishing cranks, jigs,Ect. I use a flourocarbon leader on my braid.

  14. My reels all have recommended line thickness and strength listed on the sides…. but they are pretty old…. My question is do I (can I) use thinner modern lines on them, is it even a good idea? Or do I just try to match the diameter to what is specified on the reel… (I did check and I see modern reel spools are smaller so they can use the new thinner lines.

  15. How’s a vid on how to cast a baitcaster sound?? I jusy got my first one and making progress but a good video how to would be nice.

  16. I genuinely needed this

2nd year angler. Been using mono with a jerk bait

Didnt really know any better lol

  17. I’m here from 2023. And Fluoro has definitely taken the most expensive spot since this video was made.
    I wonder why

  18. I’m Suffix 832 Advanced Superline ALL DAY EVERYDAY! DAMN THAT IS THE PINNACLE OF FISHING LINE. I was a Spider wire and Power Pro guy for years… until I just spent the money and tried it… ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Suffix 832 Advanced Superline is THE STANDARD of braided fishing line.

  19. Braided line with a flourocarbon leader is the tried and true for me. Gives excellent cast ability with very low risk of breaking in the rocky shores i like to fish.

  20. I love how you guys are going but remember to take some time to focus on your products vs competitors! Format should be product types , pros and cons, then why yours in each class takes it one step further!

  21. Just bought a new 2020 met. Running 1 rod and reel and usually use braid. Thinking about switching to Fluoro? Any suggestions for all around line for 1 rod
