  1. On your ultra light spinning gear what lb braid main and fluoro leader do you use? On my regular 6.6 spinning combo I use 10lb braid and 8lb fluoro leader. I am thinking of trying 6lb braid and 4lb fluoro on my ultra light.

  2. I think a good 5-minute fish talk would be how to analyze ponds or river to give a better chance of catching fish i.e how do you break down your fishing spots

  3. Hey Ethan: Your summary was right on. Good job. For kayak bass fishing other than topwater, I have intentionally simplified/standardized on spinning reels with 15 lb braid, and varying fluorocarbon leaders.

  4. Could not have said it better myself. 🙂 Great video especially for all these newbies. Merry Christmas dude!

  5. I picked up a ton of copolymer super cheap at a store closing sale and have been using it for several years now. I use braid too but the copolymer seems to work really well.

  6. Great vid Ethan. Just curious which size/weight do you run on your ultra lite equipment? Have a Merry Christmas my friend

  7. Great video homie, I may not have learned anything new but definitely refreshed my mind on something’s!

  8. Good descriptions and advantages of the three major line types. Don’t forget that fluoro sinks, making it better for deep vertical applications like drop shot. I see you don’t mess with the fluoro-coated stuff; neither do I. It is probably okay but I don’t hear much about it. Merry Christmas, Don

  9. This isnt 5 minute fish talk or something and this might not work on catching fish at this time but could you do a video with you using little flies with your ultralight setup

  10. Great info. I almost always use braid because I like to keep things simple and just add a fluoro leader when conditions call for it such as water conditions, presentation, lure type, etc. Though I’m going to rig up some ultralight reels this winter with just light fluoro for my Ned rig presentations!
