  1. Very well done video.
We called that a blood knot, but when we tried it on a stress tester (this was way back in the 80s) it didn’t do as well as the knot we called Palomar which was also simple and elegant. Important to wet the line when tightening as well since frictive forces weaken the material during tightening.

  2. The word "best" needs to be outlawed in regards to fishing because literally every person who fishes thinks that they know the best knot, the best bait, the best reel, the best location, etc……. Every. Single. One…….. I’ve never seen so many "bests" in anything in my entire life. For example I’ve been an ice hockey goalie for most of my life. As a community us goalie’s understand that there is no such thing as the best anything as far as gear or methods go. There is only what works best for you. Therefore you will never see any of us claiming that this is the best anything. What’s best for me might not be what’s best for you. I wish half the people in the fishing community would apply the same logic because I’m actually just getting into it and I’m getting pretty sick of seeing everybody and their brother claim that they have the best whatever.

  3. Never used it. Always just “double looped” the hole in the hook until there was a knot — whatever method that is called. Thanks, I might try it. Looks a bit more “neat”. 😀

  4. Better than me trying to tie a bowline with fish string. I feel like I’ve wasted my life. /sips a Pabst

  5. Jesus Christ Saves

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is returning very soon, and is the reason for all of the things that are happening on the Earth right now. This planet is on borrowed time.

Jesus Christ died on a cross, was buried in a tomb, and rose from the dead 3 days later, to pay for the sins of mankind, to justify us to God and to give us eternal life and forgiveness from God.

EXACTLY how to be Saved by Jesus Christ, the Son of God:

    1. Confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

    2. Believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

  6. That’s dope! I’m learning more knots and getting better. I used to be lazy and not pay attention to when friends would show me, but this video made it really easy.

  7. Sorry bad terminal connection why? Well because of the wire end of the hook . Some hooks are sharp at the end of the loop cut your line there under a load. Another aspect here notice where it attaches on the shank instead of the loop. A tight knot on the loop allowes you to set a crappie jig horizontal as it is fished under a bobber, this knot is a strait drag off the shank it won’t allow for this. This is a knot I would never fish or use.

  8. Лайк за интересный вариант вязания "Японского узла для крючков с лопаткой"! Но для крючков с колечком, мне больше нравится "Узел Куликова", который выдерживает нагрузку до 100% и при этом повышает уловистость крючка.

  9. I was looking at DIY Kayak sail video’s, this caught my attention. This knot is similar to a knot my Mom taught me for sewing.
Have a granddaughter who loves to fish. Sharing this video with her. ¥

  10. I tie the polamor knot it’s easier for me and is a 95 per cent strength knot. ( I have had surgery on both hands so I use the easiest knot I can find) Enjoyed your video.😊😊

  11. Have I been sneeling the hard way? I am going to try this tech. Thanks for sharing in such a coherent way.
