Could you use a wooden stick and do a 30$ challange just for the line and lure/bait and try to catch some bigger pike? 😄 like.. shit stick but "fancy" lure/bait.
Today me and my friends went fishing at a pier my friend got one rod from Walmart for like $18 dollars and hour later the reel holder came straight off that shit was halirous 😂

You back lashing / bird nesting your line isn’t the reels fault. You have to stretch mono line before you use it. A lot of people don’t not know to do that. If you stretch 90% of your problems will go away.

I prefer quality tackle and lures.confidince in your tackle has alot to do with fishing.for me anyway. The line on that reel had to be total trash.i wrote this before I saw the bird nest to.exellent job catching fish with junk though bro,good deal.
