  1. I hate hate hate treble hooks!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ They make no senseโ€ฆ. The Jig hook ๐Ÿช is about to be my best friend I lived in Wa. State and fly fished but now in Alabama I got me a Jigginโ€™ pole and canโ€™t wait to try that Jig head!!!! I tried fishing the Chatahooche with a wedding ring last weekend but the river was up 60โ€™ and never got a cast off well one but it hung up!!! I can see the versatility of the Jiggin Poles!!! 100% effective

  2. I used the treble hook i caught nothing but the thing I hate about it is I always poke my self with the hooks

  3. Thank you man I never liked using treble hooks and Iโ€™ve been wanting to start using lures! I wish they just came with 1 hook ๐Ÿช

  4. Can you find that long shaft hook in gold like the ones we Spanish fish with but I’m needing this hook not the other to flinzy.can you please see what you can get the long shank gold hook for start with with with 50.00 hooks same size you had on your video

  5. I’ve seen people ask for videos that show how to tie flies on to hooks but I haven’t seen a video yet ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
I’m looking forward to seeing one ๐Ÿ˜Š

  6. what about smaller treble hooks on rooster tails for small fish? just got into fishing and picked up some rooster tails and I noticed they all had small treble hooks.

  7. Would like to know what size and type hooks to use for the different fish.Example Salmon, shad, rockod, bronze bream

  8. Thank you for that. Am just learning how to use a fishing line and you really help me on how to choose what hook is better to use.

  9. I agree on the treble hooks. Thereโ€™s been times Iโ€™ve been fishing with my life and a fish would hit, close its mouth the moment I set/reel. When I pull it in, itโ€™s pretty much impossible to get out as the treble pretty much hooked its mouth closed. Clunker open its mouth to unhook as the trebles weโ€™re holding it shut. It was either take it home and eat it or rip it out. After that I switched all my trebels out.

  10. My guests for the longer hook would be it’s easier to set in the fishes mouth but I think you would be more likely to gut the fish like versus circle hook you mentioned in the beginning

  11. I exclusively use circle hooks for bait fishing the only time I use any other type of hook is when I’m using a lure like a spoon lure for example and in that case I’ll use a treble hook. That being said I hate using treble hooks on anything else other than lures because it has been statistically proven that a plain treble hook with bait on it gut hooks fish 50% of the time.

I only make an exception for lures because for some reason fish don’t seem to be able to swallow the whole lure and get gut hooked. In other words, If it’s not on a lure I hate treble hooks with a passion due to the high likelihood of gut hooking.

  12. Treble hook. they dont use it. anymore in a lot of countrys. that tipe of hook can damage a fish badly. very badly.its used when trolling for game fish and not to loose the fish.i change all my lures treble hooks with single hooks of same size.

  13. best hook for super light bite? not pecking but a single slurp and then they spit it out quickly. Big Lake trout do this

  14. My understanding is that treble hooks are for deep water fishing off a boat. It’s not meant to touch ground. There’s 3 hooks on it so a fish will grab it from any angle. Where as a regular hook, the fish follow as you reel it back in.

  15. Bro for the Jig Head did you really say "you can hook a super salty testicle on here" I’m sure you ment to say tentacle and maybe you even did but my wife and I rewand the video 5 times and we both say it sounds like testicle ๐Ÿ˜‚

  16. I keep the fish that I catch. Because that is the point of fishing. Treble hooks are a guarantee to take that fish home.

  17. Senko Skipper. Did you have to change your name? I am confused here. I have been watching you and Erin for a while now.

  18. So far I don’t like treble hooks, because they seem to be way too hard to get out, end up double hooking a fish, and easier to get snagged yourself on. I think you’re dead on about swapping out treble hooks.

  19. Great video brother especially for those that fish to releaseโ€ฆ

However i am going fishing big bluefin tunas to feed my family, do you suggest circle hooks in this case to put on octopus lures ?!

    Thanks in advance

  20. I just found you today. I am not a fan of treble hooks either but did NOT know I could switch them out as I’ve never seen an inline hook. . Also with jigheads. . I also like floating jigs. If any of you haven’t tried them you should. But a weight like 5-9 inches above the jig head and then put some bait on it and the bait will stay a few inches above the ground because the jig helps it float but the weight stays at the bottom. . So you can really cast and end up with your bait floating right in a nest of fish. Atleast in freshwater. Not sure about salt water. But guys you should definitely try it if you fresh water fish

  21. Hi teacher, which one should we use on the shore of the river and the baited shrimp and fish? Thank you Keyvan from Iran ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

  22. ok the reason for the change in the profile of the hook asp in the front section ,well to catch more fish and loose les. the other hook that’s the original hook. are actually the long part .it’s to form your bait around the hook section back section the shank. with the circle hooks you use a Dingel Dangel, to wrap your bait on.

  23. i know treble hooks are over kill but feel like single hooks are less likely and wondering why don’t they make double hooks ?
